ABSTRACT

The globalisation and climate change are main worldwide phenomena affecting each other in different ways. Their interactions provide the main winners and losers from globalisation and climate change. These both phenomena have impacts on the welfare of specific countries and social groups and provide many threats and also opportunities; therefore, these interactions need to be investigated from various perspectives more deeply. Especially, the implications for international business development in the context of world markets liberalisation and moving towards low carbon economy need to be explored. This chapter analyses the main interlinkages between globalisation and climate change by addressing the main implication of these interactions on barriers and opportunities of international business development.
