ABSTRACT
This chapter covers the calculation of structural effect of wind and seismic based on Indian, UBC, ASCE, and AS/NZS standards. Application of wind and seismic load on horizontal pressure vessels is illustrated by examples for clarity. Seismic effects of the rigid-structure approach and flexible tall structure approach are explained, and equations are compiled using the Indian standard.
