ABSTRACT

If the horse knows how this person smells, moves, talks, laughs, coughs, sneezes, and what he or she looks like, he will not be startled and can focus on the tracking. The horse is also used to the handler walking at his flank in various positions, or directly behind him. The handler must be able to walk on both the left and the right side of the horse. In the arena or the pasture, we will see that we often walk at our horse’s flank. A relaxed horse has no trouble lowering his head and neck and keeping them lowered because the relaxation of muscles and tissues enables him to do this. It seems to be a habit for handlers that when they are walking with a horse, they move fast.
