ABSTRACT
Training/practice ammunition is required by army, air force, navy, paramilitary forces, police, etc. for understanding the ammunition visually by shape, type, weight, packing box, its weight and marking details like manufacturer’s initial, lot number, batch number, colour code, etc. It helps understand the method of loading the training/practice ammunition and firing the ammunition before using the main ammunition in real time. It is used for observing some of the performance of the ammunition like smoke, light, heat, sound, etc. to a limited extent during target practice. The person gets trained regarding safety standing instructions while using the ammunition. In addition, it saves the cost as generally training ammunitions are less costly. This chapter provides typical training/practice ammunitions. References are given at the end of the chapter.
