ABSTRACT
Continuing from previous chapters, in this chapter, a more detailed treatment of the concept of trim and stability is presented with respect to longitudinal flight dynamics. Contribution of various aircraft components, specifically wing, horizontal tail and centre of gravity movement to longitudinal stability are presented in detail. Further, margin and limits of stability are defined. Worked out example problems at appropriate places intend to provide readers with feel for numbers associated with various aircraft parameters.
