ABSTRACT
In this chapter, different growth stages of maize, namely, growth and development flowering, pollination, and grain filling are discussed. It also discusses the mineral nutrition, water relations, and other environmental impacts on the growth and productivity of maize. Moreover, it deliberates the significant research advances in the physiological basis of maize.
