ABSTRACT

In this chapter, we shall develop mainly two sections. In the first section, we shall study the concept of a matrix of general transformation. We shall find a matrix for the linear transformation concerning the bases for vector spaces in the first section. We shall also solve the examples of the matrix for the linear transformation and linear operator. In the second section, we shall discuss the similarity of the two matrices as the similarity is a very important concept to convert complicated matrices in the form of matrix as simple as possible (e.g., diagonal or triangular matrix). Also, we shall explain the properties of similarities of two matrices together with some examples. Lastly, we shall provide some examples in the exercise with answers, which will help learners to practise the concepts.
