ABSTRACT

To generate the concept of manufacturing space, a related dimension of the product or component should be observed in the context of space required for keeping that item in the location. On the basis of certain policy, the number of components is manufactured by the predecessor facility for subsequent processing on the successor facility. An intermediate space is utilized for keeping certain number of components. Space requirement can be estimated corresponding to that for a specific component or industry type. While implementing the total related cost, suitable space is required for temporary storage of optimal maximum production-inventory level. Since variation in the factors for maximum production-inventory level occur in the real environment, an idea concerning their effect on the space requirement, helps a lot in the context of manufacturing entrepreneurship.
