ABSTRACT

For several reasons, it is highly desirable to make every step of a meta-analysis as transparent and reproducible as possible. A reproducible work flow makes it easier to detect and correct errors, change details of the analysis, and collaborate with other people, to name just a few aspects. Reproducibility is also a cornerstone of open science practices, and makes it easier for other researchers to appraise how the results of a meta-analysis came into being.

This chapter covers three simple tools which can be used in R to improve the reporting and reproducibility of meta-analyses: R projects, reproducible reports written with R Markdown, and the Open Science Framework (OSF).
