ABSTRACT

Parasites are organisms which spend part of their lives living on or at the expense of other animals. Parasites may be found in all tissues of the fishes, but they are particularly common on the skin and gills, because these external surfaces are easily invaded due to the flesh and blood. Disease preventive measures are the most important thing in agriculture, Veterinary and fish culture. Adequate oxygen level should be maintained in the pond by providing aeration. If it is a nutritional deficiency disease, then that disease can be identified by which nutrient is deficient and that specific nutrient quantity can be increased in feed to overcome the disease. If it is other than nutrient deficiency disease then one of the following methods can be used to treat the diseases. Diseases are better managed by understanding the requirements of the disease agent. Fish hatcheries use saltwater at 5–10% to control ciliate protozoan parasites.
