ABSTRACT
This chapter first discusses data and measurement in a unified way. It then moves to the estimation of health disparities using various global indices. From there, model-based estimates of disparity and the assessment of disparity drivers is described. Estimation of health disparities for discrete and survival outcomes follows. Finally, the use of multi-level modeling and Bayesian methods for health disparity estimation rounds out the chapter.
