This chapter covers drawing differing profiles using different tools in CATIA software. The part design is used to create and modify solids. A solid is first created using an initial sketch in Sketcher workbench. Once the main solid is created, it may be modified using Sketch-Based Features commands or using commands that do not require a sketch. The general design process is to sketch the profile of the main pad, generate the main pad, create additional Sketch-Based Features, add Dress-Up Features, modify features as desired and insert new bodies for more complex parts.
