ABSTRACT

The algebraic technique of resolving a complicated fraction into partial fractions is often needed by electrical and mechanical engineers for not only determining certain integrals in calculus, but for determining inverse Laplace transforms, and for analysing linear differential equations such as resonant circuits and feedback control systems. Resolving an algebraic expression into the partial fractions is used as a preliminary to integrating certain functions. Resolving an algebraic expression into partial fractions is used as a preliminary to integrating certain functions. Since the denominators are the same on each side of the identity then the numerators are equal to each other.
