ABSTRACT
Chapter 5 presents selected example UTM initiatives and implementations that influence, serve as pathfinders, and advance UTM. While limited in its scope, the FAA's Low Altitude Authorization and Notification Capability (LAANC) informs development of certain technical and procedural UTM constructs. Europe's U-space is significant with diverse demonstrator initiatives seeking to provide both a technical and regulatory platform for UAS traffic management.
