ABSTRACT

The existence of cyberspace makes it easy for criminals to communicate with one another at a global scale. This is changing the ways in which criminals work together, although in limited ways because of trust issues. Criminals can plan together using all of the tools of collaborative work. Cyberspace can also be used to share information about criminal techniques, to share resources, especially digital tools, and to share known vulnerabilities of locks, alarms, and digital systems. Because cyberspace does not have national borders, interaction over long distances is straightforward.
