ABSTRACT
Sensitive data is a finite resource like physical environmental resources. Over the past few years, IT and data protection professionals have adopted words like “environment,” “ecosystem,” and “data leakage.” This chapter defines the term “cybersustainability” and then applies the environmental sustainability theories of Sustainable Development Theory, Complex Adaptive Systems, and Adaptive Governance to the digital world.
