ABSTRACT
Chapter 3 leads off with a discussion and a case study of why relationships and leadership are beneficial to projects. The authors then present a brief review of the theories of leadership that have been developed and that contribute to what we call the principles of leadership. These 13 principles are then described and illustrated with authentic examples. The principles of leadership are an overall framework of guidelines within which leaders can practice their trade. Included in one of these principles is a useful format for making sound and timely decisions.
