ABSTRACT

The supervisor and manager have to be aware of human needs in order to be able to carry forth the proper role assigned to supervision. Obviously, many texts have been written about understanding human behaviour. The main object of good human relations is not to avoid argument, discussion, or appropriate information, but rather to be able to express the people concerns, discontents, and anger in a positive manner in order to resolve problems and continue with work. It is important to solicit from the individual the kind of information that is necessary in order to make the group work properly. One of the most important factors in supervision is the trust and confidence an employee places in the supervisor. Research has demonstrated that if the supervisor follows the abovementioned material and the techniques which follow, employees will be more likely to be motivated in an effective manner.
