ABSTRACT

Job satisfaction and supervisor and management enthusiasm contribute to good morale. The quality of work life is extremely important for good morale. Good morale is based on proper employee and supervisor/manager attitudes. Change can cause a morale problem or can lead to a new challenge and a better quality of work life. It is reemphasized that poor morale and poor attitudes have been created in many different ways and they can be changed. Good morale can be built into an organization. In high morale, which is really a state of independence, the individual voluntarily seeks to develop and use his/her full knowledge, power, and skill to reach a desired end. However, it is the on-going job of the supervisor/manager to try to establish and maintain good morale which leads to happy and satisfied employees-happy and satisfied employees lead to quality and quantity products and services.
