ABSTRACT

Since temporary facilities (TF) stands dismantled and removed when Contractor completes the project, a separate Level 3 Schedule is made to plan, execute, and monitor the activities falling thereunder, and this schedule is part of early work schedule. The task of design, construction, operation, and maintenance of the TF is the responsibility of Contractor based on the assumption made in the beginning of this book. TF’ scope includes office, boarding, and accommodation for Owner and Contractor, where office and accommodation camps are fully equipped. Besides, TF includes warehouse, storage yard, batching plants, fabrication yard, and laydown area. Delayed completion of TF consequently delays the mobilization of manpower related to the project, and hence, it consequently delays the start of work of the project. Therefore, its completion assumes paramount importance.
