ABSTRACT
When the Plant is ready for Start-up and Commissioning, Authority inspectors visit the Site to check the safety systems and give comments.
Main Plant: The systems they check include the systems on Fire gas, Deluge, Firefighting with a hydrant hose, Fire detection alarms, and Public address and general alarms. They also check the completion of the drainage network in the Site and how emergency evacuation readiness is in place. The inspection is carried out based on HSE dossiers prepared by the Contractor for PSSR. They also visit the control rooms and labs to verify its readiness for operation.
Off-Site Facilities: They check the operation of emergency shutdown valves, safety relief valves, fire detection, and communication network with the control room of the Main Plant.
