ABSTRACT
Contractor provides services and facilities to Owner in its Head office during engineering and procurement phases and in Site during construction phase. The extent of services and facilities to be so provided are normally stipulated in the Contract. However, difference in opinion arises if Owner intends to stay longer in Head office when delay occurs to the completion date. As it is difficult to find out who caused delays and what extent, Owner may not approve the cost impact thereof for extended stay. For Contractor, this assumes a concern as substantial cost is involved in the extended stay. A detailed list of services and facilities to be provided is described in Contract in a dedicated section.
