ABSTRACT

Contractor performs qualifications at Site prior to carrying out welding and concreting.

Main Plant construction work involves the execution of early works, foundation (civil), structure installation (including buildings), installation of equipment, piping and pipelines installation, roads, field instrument cabling, electrical and cabling, HSE work, HVAC work, painting/insulation/cathodic protection works, telecommunication works, ICSS, and water wells.

All above categories of work are planned and executed area-wise, for which the Main Plant is split into several areas such as Reception Area, Acid Gas Regeneration Unit (AGRU) and Process Area, Gas Export and Storage Area, Utility Facilities, Building Area, Flare Zone, and Pipe-Rack Area.

Planning and execution is based on Level 3 activities. For example, in case of Field Instrument Cabling under Reception Area, the Level 3 deliverables (activities) include cable termination, secondary cable laying, junction box, field box, analyzer installation, instrument installation, fire and detection installation, air pipe, and tubing. These deliverables again appear in other areas because each area contains such works.

Off-site work planning and execution is also done in the similar manner. In off-site, the predominant work is pipelines, well pads, and clusters.
