ABSTRACT
In this Chapter we will discuss the process of creating one or more user interfaces to the database. We will describe how to identify the various types of users who will interact with the data and the requirements of each, discuss tools available for creating a user interface, and describe various interface functional requirements and recommend how they can be accomplished. Different interface paradigms will be presented with suggestions as to the utility and applicability of each. Finally, we will present a summary of user interface testing and validation.
