ABSTRACT

The concept of competence model in the literature is often used interchangeably with the term ‘competence’. Many experts in such fields as sociology, pedagogy, philosophy, psychology and economics have tried to define the notion of competence. A competence model can then be used to present a set of competencies associated with a given task, position or role in the organisation. Many countries are working on competence standards. Setting standards refers to standard terminology used to describe competencies acquired through all stages of the learning process, and the creation of complex procedures for certification of acquired knowledge and skills. To determine the requirements of competence, the individual responsible for project management can use the existing standards for the area. The learning competence-based process is interpreted as the ability to use theoretical knowledge to solve a practical task and the ability to interpret results in the frames of the used theory.
