ABSTRACT

Motivation aspects as interaction among teachers and students are essential for a successful learning process in an open distance learning environment, and the goal is to develop an interactive model to manage motivation. This chapter presents the structure of the motivation model and formal assumptions. The proposed model constitutes the theoretical formalisation of the new situation, when a teacher and the students are obligated to elaborate on a didactic material repository in accordance with the competence requirements. The interpretation of the cooperation between the teacher and the students is described on the basis of game theory. The modern system of assessment of the teacher’s professional activities requires wide participation in international scientific research. In the proposed game this can play an important role for evidence-based evaluation of the learning process. The learning situation can be characterised by a proper ontology, a part of which is conformant with the task ontology.
