ABSTRACT
Distance learning is now a quite widespread technology used in many high schools for better, cheaper and more intensive teaching and learning processes. The development of an education mechanism for creating a new specialty profile based on the domain knowledge model and market requirements allows the open distance learning system to respond timely to labour market requirements. The whole process of adapting programs and the teaching process to changes occurring in the environment of an educational organisation can be interpreted as management oriented on maintaining the chain of information - knowledge - competence. The motivation model includes both the teacher’s and the students’ interest in extension of the knowledge repository as they both can share and develop the repository into new functions. This model can be solved on the basis of one of the known algorithms realising a cooperative game.
