ABSTRACT

The job evaluation is made to determine the types of skills that are needed to carry out the specific job. The next step should be to develop adequate training for individuals based on-the-job competencies, and finally to establish performance rating reports to determine if the individual is satisfying these competencies and how well he or she is doing. On the hand, when the individual receives a commendation for something well done, the employee should be told about it immediately. The commendation is of greatest value when it is issued at once and not at some artificial time set up for a performance rating. The competency rating form is a technique of evaluation in which the rater determines the degree of proficiency that an individual has in specific competencies needed in his or her work. The form provides a fair and equitable way of evaluating the individual and helps provide a specific set of needs of all individuals.
