ABSTRACT
This chapter goes into the rationale behind the book. It gives good arguments for integrating JavaScript in your R projects and backs those up with real world examples of packages. These examples are carefully selected such that they each use a different method to integrate JavaScript with R. There are indeed different ways about it depending on what is to be achieved.
