ABSTRACT
This chapter introduces the htmlwidgets package which is the focus of this part of the book. Here we simply take a look at existing packages (DT, and plotly) that make use of htmlwidgets and some of their features. We also briefly explore the crosstalk package which allows widgets to communicate with one another.
