ABSTRACT
Holding the onsite side of the hybrid conference in Paradise Valley, Squamish, British Columbia, was a non-trivial task. Most people don’t understand the significance of lighting or camera placement and feel that, if they can be seen at all, it’s fine. There is a condition jokingly referred to as ‘Zoom fatigue’. It’s been surprising how arduous it is to raise interest in setting up or attending an online meeting or presentation. Most people will think of it in terms of text chat, but it can make audio or video calls and even group video calls. At the moment, the big name in videoconferencing is Zoom. Zoom is intended for business, and the company intends that the people enterprise buy a commercial account. Hoarding is insidious and is terribly destructive to the community as a whole during a crisis. The problem was that that person had no connection with the protests.
