ABSTRACT

This chapter reviews the concept of learning and several ways to assess learning outcomes on students. Different learning theories are also discussed for a robust understanding of the intricacies behind the concept of learning. The chapter also discusses teaching approaches and examines various teaching methods by which higher education can develop employability skills among students. This is necessary because to develop an employability improvement framework for graduates, there is an urgent need to be aware of the various means by which educators can further revisit and strengthen their curricula to produce skilled graduates for the future. Finally, the chapter discusses the role of assessment in teaching and learning and how it provides an opportunity to monitor the influence of teachers and faculty staff in learning development.
