ABSTRACT

The Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the Human Vaccines Project announced the Human Immunomics Initiative, a joint project that aims to revolutionize the understanding of the human immune system and accelerate the creation of effective vaccines, diagnostics, and treatments. The amount of literature, research, and data being produced relative to the field of immunology and its related sciences like immunogenics, immunotherapies, molecular biology, and on and on, are daunting. The long-range view of Artificial Intelligence in immunology can be “ambitious” to more conservative, but no less global views. Whatever the view, the future of immunological research suggests continued expansion as it sharpens our ability to make discoveries in immunotherapies, like the biologics, immunogenetics, and immunogenomics and its role in gene editing and engineering and stem cell transplantation. All such advances will lead to controlling and eventual curing cancers, diabetes, autoimmune diseases, and more.
