ABSTRACT
Basic concepts of probability theory are reviewed, such as, discrete and continuous distributions, expectations, and transformations. It is assumed that the reader has a rudimentary knowledge of probability theory. These concepts will be used throughout the book and it is important that the reader is familiar with them. The knowledgeable reader can skip the chapter. A set of exercises is given at the end of the chapter.
