ABSTRACT

This chapter discussed academic integrity, one of the most important issues to be aware of as a newcomer to the scientific research community as well as a scientist in training. When confronted with new, unfamiliar, and occasionally difficult academic dilemmas, the goal is to prepare you to think first, question second, and act third in order to maximize your chances of success and keep a fair and constructive atmosphere for the scientific community. We investigated task scheduling in central processing units (CPUs) as a case study for the technical section of this chapter.
