ABSTRACT
Feed processing is a coordinated work of selection of feeds, milling of feed ingredients, quality assessment of feed ingredients before milling, during milling and after milling and calculation of the ratio as well as actual quantity of various feed ingredients for mixing and further processing. Compounded feed production is an exclusive commercial venture and before establishment of a feed mill for the production of compounded feeds it is important to conduct SWOT analysis. On the basis of these informations scope of running a poultry feed mill can be decided and economic feasibility can be worked out with the help of marketing and accounts personnels. Some of the important roles of feed mill manager may be listed as follows: The main role of a poultry nutritionist is to assure supply of wholesome compounded feeds for different categories of birds. Annual contracts for maintenance of important equipments requiring advanced engineering services may be made with the manufacturing firms or dealers.
