ABSTRACT
Fighting competition between partridges is quite popular in Agra, Bareilly, Jaipur, Lucknow, Kanpur, Karanchi, Lohare, Hyderabad and many other towns. In most of the fighting games between the birds is linked with gambling. The place of partridge in zoological kingdom is presented in the following flow chart. The partridges are omnivorous birds feeding on fallen grains of weeds, insects, larvae and pupae. Pet partridges are fed a mixture of grains, leguminous seeds, oilseeds and small fishes. Some partridge owners do share the composition of feed mixture. Pet partridges are also allowed scavenging for an hour during dusk. Partridge fight competitions are common during the fares and festivals. The partridges are trained and groomed for fighting competition. Sponsored competitions are quite common in many town if the Bhartiya sub continent. Partridge fight competitions are common during the fares and a festivals.
