ABSTRACT
The digital world deals with lots of data and that too in real-time for better decision making, and the ‘things’ play a huge role in data generation and collection. There were many industrial systems providing data about their environment and were used for decision-making internally. The Internet of Things emerged as a concept when more things connected to the Internet on a massive scale called ‘IoT.’ The Internet of Things or IoT is a network of physical objects called things that are embedded with sensors, software, and other technologies to connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the Internet. There is a need to get the data about the things around us, and the emergence of sensors to capture all kinds of data has been a massive boost to making the internet of things ready. Connected home, security, transportation, and connected everything is going to be the future.
