ABSTRACT
This very short Chapter briefly describes the difference between parametric and non-parametric statistical tests.
Parametric tests assume that the data are normally distributed; if this is not the case, then a non-parametric version of the test may be used instead.
A listing of several commonly used parametric tests is given, along with their non-parametric equivalents.
