ABSTRACT
A more detailed explanation of populations and samples is presented in the second Chapter.
The importance of obtaining a sample that is representative of the population is stressed and issues such as sampling frames and sampling variations are explained.
Several different sampling methods such as random/non-random (also called probability/non-probability) sampling, convenience sampling and quota sampling are discussed and briefly illustrated with examples.
