ABSTRACT
The text up to this point has given detailed calculations related to the mass and energy balancing associated with the production of ammonia syngas. This chapter contains a number of self-contained tutorial problems, many related to the ammonia synthesis loop itself, where some of the principles that should have been reinforced by the work done so far have to be applied. Most of the problems contain explanatory notes as to what the problem is trying to test and how to approach the problem. It is unreasonable to ask questions where there are no solutions supplied. Perhaps dangerously, the solutions to the problems are set out in detail in the spirit of the chapters that precede. These problems are followed by sections where some further problems are considered related back to the ammonia syngas production. Some of these refer back to previous chapters and link directly to some of the balances considered there.
