ABSTRACT
The staff issues as they relate to security. Many of the systems explained in this book would require new policies or procedures. Occasionally, employees resist carrying a badge because it is considered an intrusion into their privacy, or it interferes with work in some way. One organization that provides certifications of security professionals is the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). ASIS has three tiers or levels in their certification program: The Certified Protection Professional, the Professional Certified Investigator and the Physical Security Professional. In addition to the American Society for Industrial Security and the Certification in Homeland Security there is a third group that sponsors Crime Prevention through Environmental Design. The candidate must apply for certification with previous experience in environmental design as it relates to crime prevention and after a review by the agency, International Crime Prevention through Environmental Design Association, the candidate is subjected to an exam that covers core principles.
