ABSTRACT
This chapter discusses the assist in the development of an emergency response plan and provide guidance into the steps that are normally taken in dealing with an emergency. Designation of leadership in the command structure of an emergency response plan should be taken lightly. The next element of the emergency response plan is to define how communications will be established and maintained. The emergency response plan should include a method of training persons in how to respond to an emergency. There are a number of training methods that should be included in the emergency response plan. The step in the training part of the emergency response plan is called a tabletop exercise. The emergency response team should be given the equipment they would need in responding to an incident and then they should be trained to use.
