An almost limitless amount of information is processed by today’s technology. Sensitive business information including personnel records, proprietary information, customer data, financial information, client and vendor information—e.g.; contracts—are part of the information stored on today’s computer information systems. Electronically processed or transmitted information serves as the cornerstone of today’s corporation, or entity’s business operations.
