ABSTRACT
As discussed earlier, disaster and recovery planning is rooted in the basics of emergency preparedness. As such, each key element of emergency preparedness is integral to preparing for, mitigating, responding to and recovering from an emergency or disaster occurrence. In this chapter, we will review the steps involved in developing and implementing a successful disaster and recovery plan.
