ABSTRACT

This chapter will take users through the standard process of setting up the overall scene diligently, along with the camera composition and the overall lighting.

The initial steps described here will be vital in ensuring the subsequent steps are successful.

The chapter will start by adopting the file’s unit scale, Show Safe Frame, Edge Faces, Units Setup, Preferences, Gamma and LUT, Files, Configure Viewports, VRay Image filter, Color mapping, etc.

It will continue by creating and setting the VRay camera accordingly, setting the Render Output Size, the VRaySun object , VRaySky, Improved Sky parameters, VRay Viewport IPR, setting up the VRaySun direction, VRayLightMix render element, Filmic tonemap, Lookup Table, camera Color and Exposure settings, and the Atmosphere procedural map.
