ABSTRACT
This chapter contains a case of major trauma, where a cyclist is involved in a road traffic accident. The candidate will be expected to discuss the definition of major trauma, how a patient should be assessed in the emergency department, and the subsequent management of a patient with a major bleed and a pneumothorax.
