ABSTRACT
This chapter contains a case of a patient with a leaking abdominal aortic aneurysm. The questions discuss the immediate assessment and management of this patient in the emergency department and in theatre. The second case is a patient undergoing a carotid endarterectomy, and the risks, monitoring and techniques are considered within the questions that follow. These topics are frequently asked about in the Primary and Final examinations.
