ABSTRACT

A rapid growth in the Internet of Health Things (IoHT) supports a massive number of medical services with sensors and communication protocols, utilizing data storage environments such as cloud computing (CC) and fog computing. Healthcare is a major field in the Internet of Things (IoT), which derives massive focus from firms, research communities, and the public sector. The deployment of IoT and CC helps in enhancing security, user convenience, and processing efficiency in the medical sector. This chapter performs a survey carried out for analyzing the advanced IoT elements, applications, and market tendency of IoT in healthcare, and the recent growth in IoT and CC-centric healthcare. It is assumes that challenging models such as CC, ambient assisted living, and big data are suitable to apply in healthcare as well as identifying diverse IoT, e-health regulations, and suggestions to compute the way of assisting sustainable growth of IoT as well as CC in the healthcare industry.
