ABSTRACT

For a long time, the outsourcing industry has been paying high attention to “customer service”; however, such idea is too simple to guide the complicated software outsourcing industry. The currently popular idea is known as “managing customers.” Literally, service providers shall no longer satisfy customers’ requirements passively, but cooperate with them more proactively. To be specific, in the process of delivering products to customers, service providers shall, based on proactive cooperation, think and act by putting themselves in customers’ position, improve the efficiency of remote cooperation with them, and bring them better experiences in working with offshore teams.

In this chapter, the author introduces some successful experiences of offshore teams. Now that a single practice is not enlightening enough, a package of approaches will let readers gain an unrivalled understanding of the entire distributed team.
